A message from Amy

I have recently been employed as the DofE Manager for Devon.  I feel very passionate about the Award, having personally experienced the positive benefits.  I achieved my Gold over a decade ago which enabled me to start my career as a Youth Worker and ignited my appreciation for the outdoors. The DofE is a leading youth achievement award.  There are three levels to the award –
  • Bronze – for those aged 14+ years
  • Silver – for those aged 15+ years
  • Gold – for those aged 16+ years
The Bronze level starting age is 14+, but if you are in year 9 and only 13 years old, you may be able to start a Bronze DofE programme if most of your friends are already 14.
For each level participants are required to complete these sections –
  • Skills
  • Physical
  • Volunteering
Each level is completed with an Expedition!
The Award can be tailored to your needs and personality as it is up to you to decide how you achieve each section.  For more information please visit the DofE website – http://www.dofe.org

See the OPEN AWARD GROUPS we support in Devon (below) & feel free to contact them directly if they can help you complete your award!
