Tiverton Social Action Group Report

On Saturday 16th March we went to Tiverton Town Football Club to fundraise for new sports equipment for young people to use at Tiverton youth centre.

It was a very wet and windy afternoon but this did not deter any of our young volunteers – Chelsea Cooper, Callum White, Sophie Rowe and Isabelle Ellicott from turning out.

Together with staff from Tiverton youth centre (and armed with collection buckets and Space T-shirts) we attended the Tiverton Town Football Club End to End match against Salisbury on Saturday afternoon.  The match resulted in a brilliant win for Tiverton! A very proud moment for us all was when Ben Mammola was awarded Man of the Match!

Until recently, Ben has been a youth worker at the centre!

In total our collection was £169.17, a fabulous amount, which is going towards the purchase of new Sports equipment for the Centre.  A huge thank you to our volunteers and to Tiverton Town Football Club and their supporters and the Salisbury Town supporters who also contributed!
